Key Features of the EM-5700N
High-Speed 60,000 rpm Spindle
The routing system uses a high-speed spindle with a specified maximum speed of 60,000 rpm. High spindle speed provides the cutting capability required for PCB routing, while the actual spindle and feed settings should be selected according to board material, PCB thickness, cutter type, routing geometry and required edge quality.
±0.1 mm Cutting Accuracy
The EM-5700N provides a specified cutting accuracy of ±0.1 mm, supporting repeatable routing paths for batch PCB depaneling. For assemblies with components located close to the cutting path, the PCB drawing and component clearance should be reviewed before production.
CCD-Assisted Positioning
A CCD vision system assists with PCB positioning and routing alignment.
This helps establish the relationship between the actual PCB panel position and the programmed cutting path, which is especially important when consistent routing location is required across repeated production cycles.
Programmable Routing Control
Unlike a conventional V-cut separator that primarily follows existing straight V-grooves, a PCB router can follow a programmed cutting contour. This makes the machine suitable for panels containing:
- irregular board profiles
- curved outlines
- routing tabs
- bridges
- multiple individual boards
- complex separation paths
Automatic Tool Change
The machine supports automatic cutter replacement, helping reduce manual intervention associated with tool changes during repetitive production.
Tool life should still be managed according to PCB material, cutting distance, cutter specification and actual edge-quality requirements.
Automatic Pin Placement
The system includes an automatic pin-placement function for applicable fixture and PCB positioning requirements.
The actual fixture design should be developed according to the panel structure, board support points and routing path.
PC-Based Operation
The machine uses a PC-based control system with a three-axis controller, allowing operators to manage the routing program and machine operation through the control interface.
Dust Collection System
Mechanical PCB routing generates cutting dust. The EM-5700N is equipped with a 3 HP dust collection system according to the supplied specification, helping remove debris generated during the routing process.
How EM-5700N works?
Step 1 — Load the PCB Panel
The assembled PCB panel is placed into the appropriate fixture.
Correct board support is important because the PCB must remain stable during routing.
Step 2 — Position the Panel
The CCD system assists with positioning and alignment between the PCB and the programmed routing path.
Step 3 — Select the Routing Program
The operator loads the corresponding program for the PCB product.
Different products can require different fixtures, cutting paths and process parameters.
Step 4 — Automatic Routing
The spindle follows the programmed cutting path while the router bit removes material around the required PCB outline or tabs.
Step 5 — Complete Depaneling
After routing is completed, the separated PCB can proceed to inspection, functional testing, final assembly or packing.

The machine provides a specified cutting-speed range of 1–100 mm/s.
The answer depends on the selected version. Available working areas include 285 × 340, 285 × 450, 350 × 450, 500 × 450 and 350 × 650 mm.
Choose according to the PCB panel dimensions, fixture dimensions and routing requirements. A larger working area is not automatically necessary for every application.
Yes. The supplied specification identifies a CCD positioning system.
It is designed for programmable routing, making it suitable for applicable irregular profiles, curves and tab-routed PCB panels.
Not necessarily. The two machines are intended for different PCB panel designs. A V-cut separator is generally more appropriate for simple straight V-grooves, while a router is better suited to programmed contours and routing tabs.
Yes. Routing removes PCB material mechanically and generates dust. The supplied EM-5700N specification includes a 3 HP dust collector.
Fixture requirements depend on the panel structure, routing path and support requirements. Many routing applications require a fixture designed for the particular PCB.
The router bit is a primary consumable. Filters and other maintenance parts may also require periodic replacement according to machine usage.
What Information Is Needed Before Selecting a PCB Router?
PCB Panel Dimensions
Provide the maximum panel length and width. This determines the minimum required working area.
PCB Thickness
Board thickness can influence cutter and process selection.
Individual PCB Dimensions
This helps evaluate board support and fixture design.
Panel Layout
Show the number and arrangement of boards within the panel.
Routing Path
Indicate where the router must cut around the PCB.
Tab Locations
Provide the number, width and position of routing tabs where applicable.
Component Edge Clearance
Components located close to the PCB edge can influence cutter clearance and fixture design.
PCB Drawing
A Gerber, DXF or dimensional drawing provides much more useful information than a machine-model request alone.
Required Capacity
Provide the target panels or boards per hour or per shift.
EM-5700N Overview
Separating assembled PCBs becomes more challenging when a panel contains irregular board outlines, routing tabs, curved profiles or components positioned close to the board edge.
The EM-5700N is designed for these routing-based depaneling applications. Instead of breaking boards manually or separating only along straight V-grooves, the machine uses a high-speed spindle and router bit to follow a programmed cutting path.
The system combines CCD-assisted positioning, programmable routing, up to 60,000 rpm spindle speed and specified ±0.1 mm cutting accuracy. Cutting speed can be adjusted from 1 to 100 mm/s according to the PCB, routing path and process requirements.
Multiple machine configurations are available for different panel dimensions, with working areas ranging from 285 × 340 mm to 350 × 650 mm, including a 500 × 450 mm configuration.
For electronics manufacturers and PCBA factories, this allows the depaneling process to be selected around the actual PCB design rather than forcing every product into the same separation method.
